1. Acoustic guitar/vocal. Recorded with 5 mics - live to 2 track in the studio. No effects.


2. 3-piece all female rock group. Nothing recorded direct except the bass, which is a blend of 2 mic track plus the DI.


3. Blues/Rock recording. Again, nothing DI'd except the bass... yes, that is a real Hammond B-3 with 122 leslie.


4. Local Jazz singer. Drums were recorded a little differently (Jazz style) in main room (small) (17' X 14' X 9'). Upright bass was recorded with single omni mic in booth (14' X 7' X 9') (LWH). Vocal sung in booth 11' X 8' X 9'). Piano was a midi instrument. Mixed on the fly to 2 trk.

Listen to the sound quality and detail... it's not the converters, the DAW, the tape machine, the console... it has a good bit to do with the microphone and it's placement and whole lot to do with the room!
